Department Service Officers (DSOS)

The Department Service Officers (DSO) are vital to the success of our organization. They work closely with the Chapter Service Officers (CSOs) to ensure veterans have all the information they need regarding their essential benefits. We provide expert guidance to claimants during this process and forward all inquiries to the National Service Office at the Baltimore Regional Office. The DAV of Maryland has four DSOs:

• Lola Curtis – Western Maryland
• Mattie Whitfield – Glen Burnie/Ft. Meade
• John Patterson – Southern Maryland/Andrews
• LaVaughn Price – Eastern Shore of Maryland

Each DSO operates under the Department Commander.
